The summer season here at Urban Arts has started with two weeks of KidPower! Kids went sailing at Lake Calhoun, did scavenger hunts in the park, took a field trip to the library, started a garden here at Urban Arts, fished, cooked, sculpted, photographed, played, read, and had buddy time with their own intern mentor. It was a great way to start the summer! The summer interns and kids got to know each other, and we ended the great two-week session with some water balloon games and ice cream!
Now Summer Arts 2010 has officially begun! There are kids taking classes about dragons, stilt walking, fairytales and fables and they are doing every kind of art.
