The Urban Arts Academy is just finishing up the first week of summer arts camps. We have made new friends and new art, and both staff and students are having a blast doing it! This week's theme was "The Magic of Art". We have created fierce and magnificent dragons, built houses for fairies, made masks and puppets, explored alternative photography, and almost anything else our imaginations could come up with.
Next week's theme is "All About Me". We will use art to explore ourselves and our worlds, and make art that only each of us can make. Whether through film or photography, music or stories, we will each finish the week having a deeper understanding of who we are.
Summer arts camps run Monday through Thursday, 12:30-4pm throughout the month of July. To register a student in a camp, please call our front desk at 612-827-1641.
